Vitalik Documentary Is Now Streaming

"Vitalik: An Ethereum Story," a community-funded documentary feature film, is now available for streaming at ethereumfilm.xyz. Viewers can purchase an onchain streaming ticket NFT for $20 to access the film. The documentary had its in-person premiere earlier this week and will remain available for streaming until October 20th. A broader release on popular streaming platforms is planned for early next year. The documentary dives into the creation of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin's journey, and the global community of builders. The film has been three years in the making, shot across 28 cities and 15 countries.

Basenames Integrates Farcaster Frames

Basenames introduced support for Farcaster Frames on its Base.eth subname identity platform. Users can now pin Farcaster Frames to their Base profiles, including a Paycaster tipping frame, a Build top nomination frame, a Slice store frame, and a Hypersub subscription frame. Users can also pin a custom frame implementation. Farcaster Frames offers an integrated experience that can be embedded directly into a cast or site, enabling users to interact with dynamic and responsive commands without leaving the app. Basenames, which are third-level domains under the Base.eth second-level ENS domain, have seen over 430,000 registrations since launching in August.

Polygon ZKEVM Eggfruit Upgrade

Polygon zkEVM is scheduled to undergo the Eggfruit upgrade on the mainnet on September 30th, following the activation of a 10-day timelock today. The upgrade will introduce a more performant rollup sequencer, which will improve transaction ordering and significantly increase transaction throughput. As part of this upgrade, all infrastructure providers must transition to the new cdk-erigon RPC Node, as the existing RPC Node will be deprecated. Polygon zkEVM, an EVM-equivalent ZK Rollup, is poised to eventually support the Polygon PoS chain as a ZKEVM validium.
