Loopring ZK Rollup And DEX Shut Down Loopring has shut down both its decentralized exchange and the underlying application-specific ZK Rollup on Ethereum, with its relayer taken offline immediately. Rather than requiring users to manually submit technical Merkle proofs to withdraw L2 assets from the stalled network, Loopring will execute a centralized contract upgrade to handle distributions directly. The closure marks the end of the protocol's active footprint on Ethereum. Bitmine Amasses 5.7 Million ETH Bitmine Immersion Technologies purchased an additional 27,084 ETH, pushing its total holdings to 5,700,040 ETH. Its treasury now represents 4.7% of the total circulating ETH supply of 120.7 million, bringing the company 94% of the way to its target of owning 5% of all circulating ETH since passing its 5 million ETH milestone. Bitmine was officially added to the Russell 1000 Large-cap Index on June 26, 2026. Vitalik Unpacks Obfuscation, Cryptography's Final Boss Vitalik published Part I of a deep-dive series on indistinguishability obfuscation (iO), which he frames as the "final boss" of cryptography. Obfuscation converts a program into an "encrypted" version that can be run on cleartext inputs to get cleartext outputs, but completely hides the program's internal workings. Combining iO and a blockchain could enable secure, private, collusion-resistant voting systems without trust assumptions or committees, as well as secret-sharing DAOs without threshold trust. Aave Plans Tokenized Stock Lending Aave plans to support tokenized stocks on Aave V4, expanding its addressable market into onchain securities lending. By supplying tokenized securities directly to decentralized pools, holders will be able to bypass brokers to earn the full market borrowing rates with real-time transparency and dynamic pricing. Under the proposed model, users deposit tokenized shares directly as collateral to borrow stablecoins, or lend them out to generate yield. Other News Grandine 2.0.5 release. Ethlabs shares FAQs.
