Privacy Pools V2 Ceremony Privacy Pools launched the trusted setup ceremony for its V2 protocol, inviting contributors to add randomness to proving keys ahead of a mainnet deployment. To contribute, users can sign in via GitHub, generate entropy through mouse movement or clicks in a browser tab. The ceremony exists to prevent any single party from retaining the secret randomness used to build the proving keys, a scenario that would let a malicious holder forge withdrawal proofs and drain deposited funds. The full run across all circuits takes 15 minutes to an hour depending on hardware used,. Arbitrum Supports For x402 and MPP Arbitrum now supports Coinbase's hosted x402 facilitator, letting developers build x402-powered services without running their own settlement infrastructure. x402 embeds payment into the standard HTTP request-response code. It allows an agent requesting a paid API or data product can receive a payment requirement and respond programmatically as part of the same interaction. Separately, Offchain has published arbitrum-mpp, an open-source TypeScript SDK implementing the Machine Payment Protocol on Arbitrum. Aave stkGHO to sGHO Migration Tool Aave released a one-click migration tool for converting Staked GHO into Savings GHO, the protocol's new yield vehicle for GHO. Legacy stkGHO holders must migrate manually, since rewards on the old staking contract will taper over a seven-week transition schedule. Aave is urging stkGHO holders to move as soon as possible. Underlying GHO stays accessible even for holders who miss the migration window, but they stop earning yield once legacy rewards end. Zapper Winds Down DeFi portfolio aggregator Zapper is winding down, founder Seb Audet announced, closing a nearly seven-year run that began as a personal portfolio tracker built during the November 2019 Kyber DeFi Hackathon under the name DeFiZap. The project later merged with DeFiSnap in May 2020 to form Zapper, eventually scaling to more than 2 million monthly active users and processing more than $13 billion in transaction volume at its peak. Zapper's website, mobile apps, and API services will shut down completely on August 3, 2026. Other News TOSS builds on OP Stack. Lighter live on Robinhood Chain. Lighter latency engineering.
