ECF Launches Swapboard V2
The Ethereum Community Foundation (ECF) launched Swapboard V2, the latest iteration of its trustless peer-to-peer orderbook on Ethereum mainnet. The V2 release supports native ETH without wrapping into WETH, partial fills with the option to require a full fill, and editing for existing orders. Users can also create, fill, update or cancel multiple orders in one transaction.
The release also adds gasless approval signatures where supported, slippage checks, and clearer errors and warnings for unknown tokens. Unlike an automated market maker, Swapboard lets users post fixed-price orders for token trades. Swapboard is open-source and has 0% protocol fees. The Ethereum Community Foundation (ECF) is an independent organization dedicated to Ethereum projects that increase ETH demand.
Babylon Proposes Native BTC On Aave
Babylon Labs, a Bitcoin infrastructure project, proposed to add native BTC as collateral to Aave V4 on Ethereum leveraging its Trustless Bitcoin Vaults protocol. Depositors would lock BTC in Taproot UTXOs on Bitcoin. A transfer-restricted ERC-20 on Ethereum would serve as an internal accounting unit for the Aave integration, while the BTC remains on Bitcoin without outside custody, wrapping, or bridging.
The proposal would create two Aave Spokes: the Babylon Spoke for borrowing, initially stablecoins against BTC, and the BTC Vault Swap Spoke for liquidation settlement. Redemptions will depend on a Bitcoin claim process with a multi-day challenge window. The design has smart-contract and proof assumptions, potential settlement delays, and fees, including interest fees. The proposal is open for feedback and risk review.
Solidity Core Compiler Frontend
Solidity, the most widely used language for developing smart contracts on the EVM, published an update for Core Solidity, a new frontend for the Solidity Compiler that adds a new type system and moves more language functionality into a standard library. It supports algebraic data types with pattern matching, traits, generics, modules, compile-time evaluation and lambdas.
It compiles code to Yul, then uses the existing solc optimizer and code generator, rather than replacing the compiler backend. Core Solidity does not replace the full Solidity Compiler. The project is not yet ready for mainnet deployment as the team is still conducting interviews with protocol developers, auditors, and educators and making updates to the developer tools.
MetaMask Agent Live On Grok Bot
MetaMask launched its Agent Wallet on Grok Bot, allowing AI agents to manage wallets, swap and bridge tokens, trade perpetuals on Hyperliquid, access Polymarket and earn onchain. Users can set spending limits, approved protocols and a risk profile, then choose Guard or Beast mode. EVM transactions are simulated, scanned for threats using Blockaid and routed with MEV protection.
Out-of-policy activity triggers a two-factor approval request by email or the MetaMask mobile app, which expires after five minutes. The agent wallet also supports EVM chains, Robinhood and Hyperliquid, and works with OpenClaw, Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, OpenCode and Cursor.
