The ENS DAO launched an ENS delegation incentives program aiming to convert passive token holders into active governance participants by offering rewards for delegating their tokens. Run by Blockful, the 90-day pilot program aims to route idle voting power into the hands of active delegates. The program will distribute up to 90,000 ENS tokens managed by the metagov stewards to reward both qualifying delegates and their delegators.

ENS holders can earn rewards by delegating their tokens to active delegates, defined as addresses that have voted on at least seven of the last 10 onchain proposals. A monthly reward pool is split, with 10 percent of the total allocated directly to active delegates proportional to their average monthly voting power, capped at one percent per delegate to avoid excessive concentration. The remaining 90 percent is distributed among delegators who are aligned with an active delegate at the time of distribution.

Users can also delegate their ENS without gas, leveraging a gasless signature, on the Blockful platform. The program runs through September 30, 2026. The effort to expand decentralized representation comes amid ongoing friction over voting concentration, highlighted by a recent incident where a single [vote blocks the ENS Security Council renewal](https://ethdaily.io/vote-blocks-ens-security-council-renewal) under concentrated delegate weight among ENS Labs team members.
