Also co-authored by Leigh Cronian and Chris Johnson with contributions from Cybercentry and Virtuals Protocol, the standard builds on top of [ERC-8004 agent registration](https://ethdaily.io/coinbase-launches-trading-agent-access) and lets agents prove their security through independent verification providers while preserving privacy through Zero-Knowledge Proofs. Rather than creating a single verification authority, ERC-8126 enables a marketplace of specialized providers that each run their own assessments while producing interoperable attestations. Providers resolve agent metadata from the ERC-8004 Identity Registry, perform verification procedures, and publish privacy-preserving attestations to ERC-8004's Validation Registry.
