# Ethereum Foundation Publishes ETH Rangers Program Results

The Ethereum Foundation's Protocol Security Research Team [released](https://blog.ethereum.org/2026/04/16/eth-rangers-recap) the outcomes of its ETH Rangers program, launched in 2024 to fund independent contributors focused on strengthening Ethereum's security. Seventeen recipients worked on public goods security initiatives spanning vulnerability research, incident response, threat intelligence, tooling, and education. The efforts helped recover more than $5.8 million, uncover over 785 vulnerabilities, and identify around 100 North Korean (DPRK) operatives. Contributors, including team members from SEAL, also played a key role in responding to active exploits, freezing illicit funds, and raising awareness of emerging threats.
