Happy Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

EthStaker announced its rename to EthCoordinate, an independent Ethereum coordination org. Protocol Guild announces the ACD Fund. And Octant announces a funding round for privacy projects.

EthCoordinate Independent Org
-----------------------------

EthCoordinate [introduced](https://x.com/EthCoordinate/status/2087163391282708641) its independent organization for coordinating Ethereum governance between core development and ETH stakeholders. EthCoordinate aims to fill the new gaps created by the recent changes, where the Ethereum Foundation is serving a lesser role in steering Ethereum and new organizations, such as Ethlabs, EthSystems, and Ethereum Institional, serve specialized roles in stewarding Ethereum.

EthCoordinate is [led](https://ethcoordinate.org/#team) by former Ethereum Foundation Protocol Support team members Nixo, Marc, and Butta, alongside EthStaker core members, POAP founder Patricio Worthalter, and EthCC organizer Jerome de Tychey, among others. EthCoordinate will support Forkcast, an Ethereum governance tracker formerly developed by the EF Protocol Support team, which was [dissolved](https://x.com/EFprotocol/status/2075202550291370434) earlier this year. The organization will house staker support, protocol coordination, protocol economics, and open-source tooling, under one roof with the goal of Ethereum acceleration.

All Core Devs Fund
------------------

Protocol Guild, the collective supporting Ethereum protocol contributors, [announced](https://www.protocolguild.org/blog/20260810-announcing-ACD-Fund-and-Nixo-Support) the ACD Fund, a new fund dedicated to core development coordination with initial support for EthCoordinate and founder Nixo. The support will fund Nixo's role as an All Core Devs (ACD) coordinator. The Protocol Guild noted a recent drop in speculative funding streams formerly used to fund ecosystem roles.

Octant Privacy Round
--------------------

Octant, a public goods funding organization, [announced](https://x.com/OctantApp/status/2087221773016105341) the Privacy Round, it's latest quadratic funding round focused on supporting projects bringing privacy to Ethereum. The round will feature a matching pool of 100 ETH. Eligible projects include existing software or hardware projects with privacy as the primary utility. Ideal projects include private transfers, shielded pools, wallet and RPC privacy, encrypted mempools, and zero-knowledge (ZK) tooling. Applications are now open with the round kicking off on October 14th.
