Fake World Assets, a [new](https://x.com/token_works/status/2079280313692295209) randomized NFT acquisition protocol by TokenWorks, has [crossed](https://fwa-pulse.vercel.app/) 3,000 ETH in cumulative volume. The milestone comes roughly four days after the project's July 20th launch. Activity on the protocol has scaled quickly to over 30,000 NFT purchases. The NFTs are essentially loot boxes, where purchasers chooses between keeping a randomly selected NFT, sell it back to the depositor for most of the ETH backing, or take a payout in FWA tokens.

Purchasers pay a pool-derived price to gamble on a randomly selected position, with Chainlink VRF supplying randomness. NFT holders deposit an eligible NFT along with ETH backing into the liquidity pool in exchange for a share of fees collected. The ETH backing sets the position's odds of being pulled and funds a standing offer for the depositor to buy the NFT back later.

FWA token emissions run daily for the first 15 days post-launch, 1% of supply to purchasers and 1% to depositors each day. The protocol has grown past 1,500 deposited NFTs, including CryptoPunks as top-tier prizes.
