# Linea Stack Becomes Lineth Under Linux Foundation

ConsenSys [open-sourced](https://www.lfdecentralizedtrust.org/blog/announcing-lineth-a-production-grade-zk-rollup-stack-joins-linux-foundation-decentralized-trust) the [Linea Stack](https://ethdaily.io/750) under Apache-2.0/MIT licensing and its control to the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust under a new name, Lineth. Lineth covers the full L2 pipeline, EVM-equivalent execution built on [Besu](https://ethdaily.io/667), the Maru consensus client, a ZK proving stack using gnark, and onchain Ethereum contracts for proof verification and bridging.

Anyone can now use Lineth to deploy a production-grade ZK rollup. [Linea Mainnet](https://ethdaily.io/status-network-merges-into-linea) remains under Consensys control and is targeting [Stage 1 decentralization](https://ethdaily.io/693) this month, a RISC-V prover transition in Q3, and [real-time proving](https://ethdaily.io/brevis-releases-pico-prism-20) by the end of the year. Linea holds over $450 million in value secured.
