Robinhood launched agentic trading to crypto, allowing eligible US customers to connect third-party AI models including Claude and ChatGPT to isolated Robinhood accounts for autonomous cryptocurrency trades. Users can set natural-language instructions, trade limits, and safety guardrails, with the AI agent continuously scanning market data and executing strategies autonomously within those parameters. The crypto launch follows Robinhood's agentic trading beta for equities and options, which launched in May. The feature is powered by Robinhood's Trading MCP, which connects AI models to Robinhood data sources and tools. CEO Vlad Tenev has predicted AI agents will soon match human traders in performance. Robinhood warns of risks including volatile markets and misread prompts.
