Aave released a one-click migration tool for converting Staked GHO into Savings GHO, the protocol's new yield vehicle for GHO. Legacy stkGHO holders must migrate manually, since rewards on the old staking contract will taper over a seven-week transition schedule. Aave is urging stkGHO holders to move as soon as possible. Underlying GHO stays accessible even for holders who miss the migration window, but they stop earning yield once legacy rewards end.
New users can deposit GHO and receive Savings GHO (sGHO) tokens, whose value grows through the share-to-asset conversion rate, with yield accruing directly in that rate rather than through separate reward emissions.
