Cross-chain package for Interop SDK.
Devcon 8 early tickets start May 20th.

United States District Judge Margaret M. Garnett signed a court order allowing an onchain governance vote to transfer the 30,765 frozen ETH from the ArbitrumDAO to a wallet controlled by Aave LLC. The order provides explicit legal cover for participants: any party initiating, voting on, or participating in the transfer is not in violation of the restraining notice served by Gerstein Harrow LLP on May 1st. The restraining notice transfers with the assets. The judge did not rule on the merits of the plaintiffs' claim. Read more
Mantle DAO passed a governance proposal authorizing its treasury to lend up to 30,000 ETH to Aave DAO to address bad debt from the April 18 KelpDAO LayerZero exploit. The loan carries a variable rate of the Lido staking yield plus 1% APR with up to a 36-month maturity. As collateral, Aave will allocate 5% of protocol revenue and at least $11 million in AAVE tokens to a multisig over which Mantle holds a first-priority lien, and will delegate 130,000 AAVE for governance during the loan. AWS AgentCore Payments with x402.
Protocol Guild upgrades DAO to Agora.
ArbitrumDAO approves rsETH recovery.
Obol ships Stack v0.9.0.

AWS launched Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments, adding native payment capabilities to AI agents built on Bedrock with support for the x402 stablecoin payments protocol. The release was built in collaboration with Coinbase and Stripe and enables agents to autonomously transact using onchain stablecoins and traditional payment rails. AgentCore Payments handles authorization, settlement, and receipts for agent-initiated transactions, extending the agent commerce stack alongside ERC-8004 trustless agent credentials. Read more
The Protocol Guild upgraded its DAO smart contracts to Agora Governor, moving control of its split contract from a multisig to fully onchain DAO governance. The new contracts use two proposal types: membership updates require 33% quorum and 51% approval, while weekly distribution proposals require 0% quorum and 100% approval. The upgrade brings Protocol Guild's legal entity under DAO control. Read more
ArbitrumDAO approved a temperature check vote to release 30,765.67 ETH frozen by the Arbitrum Security Council following the April 18 KelpDAO exploit. The vote passed on May 7 with 90.96% in favor. The funds will be routed to the DeFi United recovery effort, a 3-of-4 multisig controlled by signers from Aave Labs, KelpDAO, EtherFi, and Certora, and applied toward restoring rsETH's backing. Approximately 42 days remain before the transfer is fully executed across the onchain execution stages. Read more

#941 - Aave Liquidates Attackers' rsETH Positions
Aave Executes rsETH Liquidations, Centrifuge Launches S&P 500 Token On Base, and Validator Consolidation Hits 10m ETH.
Aave liquidates attacker's rsETH.
Centrifuge launches deSPXA on Base.
Validators consolidate 10m ETH.
ArbitrumDAO rsETH recovery vote.

Aave executed a governance-authorized liquidation of rsETH collateral held by the April 18 KelpDAO attacker across Ethereum mainnet and Arbitrum V3, seizing approximately 89,567 rsETH. A temporary oracle adjustment forced the positions into a liquidatable state, collateral was swept to a recovery guardian multisig, and all configuration changes were fully reverted. No other users were affected. The recovered rsETH is being redeemed for ETH to clear the deficit across affected Aave markets, with full restoration of rsETH backing in its final stages. Read more →
Centrifuge launched deSPXA on Base, a tokenized version of the Anemoy S&P 500 fund managed by Janus Henderson and benchmarked by S&P Dow Jones Indices, bringing 24/7 on-chain exposure to the S&P 500 for eligible non-U.S. users. It is the first product under Centrifuge's deRWA framework, designed to make tokenized real-world assets composable with DeFi protocols. Coinbase named Centrifuge a preferred tokenization infrastructure partner. Read more →
Ethereum validators have consolidated over 10 million ETH, more than a quarter of all staked ETH, using 0x02 withdrawal credentials. Just 1.4% of validators, roughly 12,500 out of 897,000, now control this stake. The consolidation is enabled by MaxEB (EIP-7251), introduced in Pectra, which raised the maximum effective validator balance from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. Having fewer validator indices directly improves Ethereum's finality times. Read more →
