The Ethereum Foundation's Ecosystem Support Program announced that it will now pay all newly approved grants in ETH by default, replacing fiat as the standard payment method. The change applies to new applications submitted on or after June 10. Existing grants are not affected. The program runs several initiatives that provides both financial and non-financial support to teams.
To date, ESP has awarded over $172 million to more than 1,700 projects, including $9.85 million allocated in Q1 2026 across protocol development, zero-knowledge proofs, and core infrastructure. Users building projects that enhance Ethereum can visit esp.ethereum.foundation to view funding opportunities.

ETHConf lands in NYC June 8-10, bringing together 5,000+ attendees, 150+ speakers, and 100+ companies across Ethereum, stablecoins, and institutional adoption.
