Lido Validator Operations Standard
Lido introduced the Validator Operations Standard (ValOS), an open, community-driven framework establishing operational benchmarks for Ethereum node operators. Funded by Lido DAO, the standard provides structured guidance for risk assessment, internal controls, incident response, and governance across all operator setups, from solo stakers to staking providers. The operational benchmark follows broader node operator insights detailed in the EthStaker 2026 survey.
The framework aims to become a recognized assurance benchmark for staking infrastructure as Ethereum scales. To bootstrap adoption, Lido DAO allocated $60,000 to a grant pool for covering up to 50% of initial assurance review costs for early node operator participants. Node operators can access the framework and review requirements directly at valos.global.
cbZEC And cbHYPE Live On Base
Coinbase launched cbZEC and cbHYPE wrapped assets on Base, allowing users to deploy their Zcash and Hyperliquid tokens across the Base DeFi ecosystem. Coinbase Wrapped Assets are backed 1:1 by underlying cryptocurrencies held in custody by Coinbase. The launch unlocks liquidity by enabling ZEC and HYPE to be utilized directly in trading, lending, and yield protocols on Base.
Users can trade the newly wrapped tokens on Base across Matcha, Stonks Exchange, Aerodrome, and Bankr. The addition continues Coinbase's expansion of wrapped assets on Base following cbBTC and builds on Base's expanding ecosystem coverage like Coinbase Tokenized Stocks, integrating major external tokens to boost onchain activity and cross-chain interoperability.
SEC Updates Transfer Agent Rules
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission proposed updating federal transfer-agent rules to explicitly recognize electronic communications, uncertificated shares, and blockchain-based record keeping for securities offerings and share transfers. The overhaul aims to to reflect modern market operations and align processing turnaround times and security ownership posting with modern accelerated settlement cycles.
Under the proposed framework, safeguarding requirements are reframed into a comprehensive risk management standard that mandates written compliance policies, segregated bank accounts for customer funds, and formal business continuity planning. The rules also establish clear guidelines for managing restrictive legends to prevent unregistered share transfers while streamlining administrative reporting deadlines.
3Jane Launches Levered Callable Capital
3Jane launched Levered Callable Capital (LCC), a financial primitive that converts committed-but-unfunded capital into a margin-backed liquidity asset class for its uncollateralized SME credit and fintech warehouse facilities. Staked margin acts as a performance bond backing up to 13.33x in callable commitments. For example, a $75,000 posted margin position can support up to $1 million in capital call capacity. The initial deployment caps standby capacity at $15 million.
Users stake existing Aave aUSDC or aUSDT positions as margin. It continuines to accrue the base Aave lending yield of roughly 3.5% APY alongside an additional ~16.67% standby APY commitment fee paid by 3Jane. When 3Jane opens a capital call to fund eligible loans, depositors have a 9-day window to meet the margin call. If a user fails to fund a call, their posted Aave position is slashed and auctioned to backstop the shortfall.
Robinhood Chain Is Cookin
Robinhood Chain is printing with $11.5 million in cumulative fee revenue and over 1,000 ETH in 24-hour fee revenue. Long launches NVDA3x leveraged NVIDIA.
