Fusaka Upgrade Watch Party

The Fusaka upgrade is scheduled to go live on Ethereum mainnet on December 3, 2025, at 21:49:11 UTC. Node operators must update both their Execution and Consensus Layer clients to the latest versions before activation. Fusaka brings 13 EIPs with improvements to scaling, performance, and developer and user experience. The Ethstaker community will be hosting a watch party on the Ethereum YouTube channel starting 30 minutes before the scheduled fork activation. The Nethermind team is also hosting a separate 2-hour livestream featuring guest speakers across core clients and research teams, including EF Co-ED Tomasz Stanczak.

Optimism Activates Jovian Hard Fork

Optimism activated the Jovian Hard Fork on the Superchain, introducing improvements to fee mechanisms, maintenance updates to the fault-proof Cannon VM, and new data-availability protections. The upgrade allows chains to optionally set a minimum base fee to shorten priority-fee auctions. It also introduces an in-protocol limit on Data Availability footprint to reduce DA spam and fee-auction manipulation. The upgrade is now live for Superchain members, including OP, Base, Soneium, Ink, Unichain, Metal, Mode, and Zora.

Uniswap Integrates Revolut Onramp

Uniswap integrated Revolut, Europe’s largest neobank, into the Uniswap Web App and Wallet, enabling users to buy crypto directly using their Revolut balance, Revolut Pay, cards, or mobile wallets. Revolut offers 0% fees when using Revolut Pay, requires no additional identity checks for existing users, and offers over a dozen fiat currencies. The integration expands Uniswap’s onramp options, including Robinhood, Transak, and MoonPay, and supports 40+ tokens. Revolut currently only supports onramping, with plans to enable offramping in the future.

MetaMask Introduces Transaction Shield

MetaMask introduced Transaction Shield, a new paid subscription service that provides users with up to $10,000 in loss protection on certain onchain transactions. The subscription also includes priority access to MetaMask support. The protection applies to DeFi swaps and lending on verified apps, NFT mints and marketplace sales, and airdrop claims from verified smart contracts. The insurance product does not cover losses from compromised wallets or protocol-level exploits. Transaction Shield builds on MetaMask’s existing safety infrastructure, including automated transaction simulations and contract risk checks, and is currently available on the MetaMask browser extension.
