Ambire Introduces Ice Hardware Wallet

Ambire introduced Ambire Ice, an open-source hardware wallet built for Ambire and Safe multi-sig accounts. The hardware wallet decodes Safe transactions on the device and displays actions such as transfers, approvals, and batched operations in human-readable form before signing. The hardware and firmware are open for inspection, and keys are generated inside two certified secure elements. Ambire Ice is also post-quantum ready, allowing a PQ key to be added to an existing Safe account.

The wallet will support USB and Bluetooth connectivity and features an air-gap switch for signing via QR code. Ambire Ice is now available for pre-order at $119. An initial 200 devices can be reserved with a non-refundable $10 deposit. Shipping is expected to begin in early 2027. Ambire also released the build files, allowing users to DIY their own wallet with a 3D-printed case.

ethlambda Releases Beacon Client v1.0.0

LambdaClass released ethlambda v1.0.0, its Rust-based Ethereum consensus layer client, with full beacon-chain support. The release follows the Silver Ethereum consensus client launch earlier this week and formalizes a client the team says is ready for mainnet validators. LambdaClass runs ethlambda on mainnet, Sepolia, Hoodi, and Platåberget. Its Sepolia validators have completed the Glamsterdam upgrade.

The team built ethlambda from work on Lean Ethereum devnets and years developing ethrex, its execution layer client. Next, it plans to work on performance, add validator-client features and Beacon API endpoints, join Hegotá interoperability devnets, and explore post-quantum cryptography and a single-binary node that embeds ethrex.

Railgun Goes Live On Base

Railgun is now live on Base via Anon Wallet, extending its privacy system to the network. Users on Base can now shield ERC-20 assets into Railgun’s contracts, then make private transfers, interact with other contracts, or withdraw to a public wallet. Railgun leverages zero-knowledge proofs to verify transactions without exposing token amounts or recipient details to outside observers. Broadcasters can submit transactions and pay gas on a user’s behalf, separating the public transaction from the user’s wallet.
